"Brilliant location for seafront, big and comfortable room. beautiful building if somewhat old fashioned and could do with a lick of paint. Minimal parking but staff all lovely, and our stay was well priced. Good breakfast too!"

"After a long drive From Bristol and sorting through things after a bereavement, I found Grand Hotel very welcoming. The Manager Pete was very understanding to our situation. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We were in room 18 overlooking the beach and sea, the amnesties basic, kettle tea coffee etc, bathroom was equally good and clean. I can’t fault this hotel. Easy parking till 10am will be definitely be recommending the Hotel to Family and Friends. "

"Service was great, and the room comfortable. The building is a bit worn out but we had a nice bathroom that seemed newly renovated. We appreciated the small touches like the little bottle of milk in the fridge for coffee. Excellent breakfast."

"Fabulous Victorian B&B, decorated in original period style with amazing collections! Very comfortable and a wonderful place! Well-appointed rooms and beautiful garden! Superb location in the historic neighbourhood of St. Leonard's-on-Sea. Will definitely be back! "

"A tidy Hotel with staff that couldn't do any more for you. Basic room, a little black residue around the shower base but other than that we were pretty pleased with the value for money with free breakfast and parking so would use again should we need to return to Hastings in the future. "

"Excellent location. Given a warm and informative welcome on arrival. Room clean, toiletries and drink making equipment in situ. Comfortable bed and sufficient pillows and linen, Great to have a fridge in the room and milk for beverages. Breakfast was of a high standard and plenty of choice. Enjoyable stay"

"Perfect for a quick getaway The staff are amazing the dig are near Sainsbury’s and other shops. Domino pizza on the doorstep. 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes to the Beach and old town. Perfect place for a trip to the coast. "

"The Laindons B&B offers an amazing experience. The room was very spacious and comfortable and our hosts had thought of everything a guest could possibly need and more. The included breakfast was wonderful home cooking and the owners are incredible, being engaging and extremely considerate. I will absolutely return to Hastings and when I do will only consider staying at the Laindons. I cannot imagine finding better."

"This is the rare 5-star B&B that actually earns its rating. The house is a beautiful, art filled home where attention is paid to every detail. The host and hostess are lovely and their entire focus is on making their guests' stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. "Staff were friendly and the property itself exudes vintage elegance. Unfortunately our room (Room 5 on ground floor) smelt extremely strongly of damp, so we didn't unpack any belongings. Despite opening windows and airing the room, there remained a very strong smell. There is obviously a long-term damp problem with this room which the owners should really get fixed."
