"Truly amazing hotel with great staff, stunning rooftop patio, excellent food and drink and really an enjoyable stay. Extra thanks to those working the front desk and bar as they made the lobby and rooftop feel like an oasis. We ate and drank at the hotel numerous times. It's located in a really nice area close to major sites and easy access to transit. Choose here! If we come back the only thing id do is get a river view room. They were also great with kids and allergies."

"Great property and well kept grounds. The onsen was fantastic. Welcome drink and breakfast were nice touches. They set up a baby crib and baby bedding and blanket for us, which was perfect. Only draw back is the location is a 10-15 minute walk to train station and restaurant area. They also did not have room for us for dinner in the hotel lobby "

"The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. Highly recommended for above average hotel stay in Kyoto. "

"The room was pretty small and the kitchen area, which had to double as a bathroom sink since it was the only large sink with counter space and a mirror, was in a tight corner of the room and felt awkward to use. There was a fridge, toaster oven, and slippers which was nice! No provided pajamas unfortunately. Also no cleaning by staff and no staff on site. You check into an office like 5 minute walk away and let yourself into the property. Be careful when luggage forwarding to send your luggage...
