"Wanted to stay somewhere with a rural charm, and this did not disappoint! Staff very friendly and helpful. We did the half board which offered great value. Proper pub food, reasonably priced and excellent quality. Same can be said about breakfast. Great location to explore the area and walks nearby. Only slight downside were that the walls were quite thin so you could hear movements from neighbouring rooms. "

"Lovely little spot in a great village of Marsden, with very nice and well presented lodges. Walking distance to pubs and cafes. The location is also on the canal-side so great walks on starting on the doorstep. Lodge was lovely and the log burner was lovely to put on after a long evening walk this time of year. ONLY negative for us is that we feel the entrance door on the Redbrook lodge needs a little blind or something on the window for privacy. Also the light coming in if you want a lie-in....

"The room was really nicely decorated and spacious enough for my stay. Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Only downside was that there are no facilities nearby as the pub is no longer functioning, however being brought up in Halifax I know my way around so this wasn't a problem. Complimentary breakfast items was a nice touch even though it is advertised as room only."

"Excellent for the price I paid. Rooms have recently been renovated and it showed. The only niggles were that the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and probably needs replacing (room 10) and there was no hot water: I tried to have a shower but couldn't: No matter how long you ran the tap for or in which position the water never got warm. Would definitely stay there again. Big thank you to Jamie who so very kindly let me check in early."
