"We really loved our overnight stay at The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton. Really cute little place with beautiful room. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend this place. There is a train station in East Linton and only takes 20 minutes away so it’s perfect for a wee day or evening out in Edinburgh if you don’t want to stay in the city itself. "

"An older property but refurbished to a high standard. We chose this property as a means of visiting Edinburgh without he hassle of parking our vehicle in town. We took the bus into Edinburgh from Musselburgh. Very convenient. "

"Room was clean but on the small side. Generally old furnishings but bathroom seemed fairly modern. Bed wasn't very comfortable unfortunately. Great location and overall good value."

"Melville Castle was such a highlight on our trip. The room was gorgeous, the bed was comfy, and shower was incredible. The entire castle was decorated for the holidays and it was so cozy and charming. We ate dinner in the restaurant and HIGHLY recommend. We will absolutely be back"

"Last minute room booked due to our car breaking down on the way home from edinburgh airport. Staff were lovely and helpful and made us feel at ease at a very stressful time. We were able to pay extra to keep the room for a few hours while we waited for a hire car"

"I can’t say enough about my stay at 3 John’s Place. My room and the common areas were beautiful, clean, and modern. The location was perfect with lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, and pubs close by. Far enough away from the major tourists spots to be quiet but just minutes away from the bus and tram stops to take you anywhere in the city. Will absolutely recommend 3 John’s Place to friends and family and will stay here when I come back. "
