"What a great place! Son, mother, grandmother trip with dog. Plenty of space and we enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. It is right off main road with train nearby, but that is disclosed in listing. I slept with window open and while I heard the trains, it was not that disruptive. A few restaurants in Gold Bar and several hikes and water time were greatly enjoyed. "

"A+ 10 out of ten!! (But don't tell anybody.) The setting and scenery at The Whistling River Cabin are unbelievable. And the large deck is built to take full advantage of it. The hosts didn't miss a detail. Even the kitchen was very well equipped and was surprisingly well-stocked with items we did not expect to find. The gas grill was brand new. "This was the most perfect little mountain cabin anyone could ever dream for. This was a solo trip for me to just unwind and reset and everything about this cabin was made for comfort. "Cozy and peaceful stay! My husband is a builder and he loved the craftsmanship. I loved sitting by the fireplace and watching the nature outside. There were so many cool moths and insects. "The views from the cabin were amazing. Sitting on the deck eating meals and watching the river and quietness is a plus. Soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking is very relaxing.
