  • Charming, retro, perfectly preserved time capsule house located on High Bank Skykomish river. This 1 bedroom waterfront home features Mountain views and access to the water for seasonal fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming or just lounging. Watch the eagles and the fish jump through a provided telescope and binoculars, or just while lounging in front of large picture windows. Though the vintage ambience is preserved, the couch, bedding and carpets are brand new.

    The space
    The Master bedroom is a large room with an EnSuite bathroom, with a shower tub combo. It is a comfy, pillow top queen bed, with a thin down mattress pad, with an additional cover over that, to provide stabilization to the down. high thread count cotton sheets, with a fleece blanket tucked between a top sheet, and a quilt, to provide the weight without the overheating.

    Guest access
    The entire house is yours. You will have access to the 2 bathrooms, one with a stand alone shower, sink and toilet and the other with a shower/tub combo, 2 sinks and a toilet. You will have a full dresser, with exception the the bottom drawer which contains extra sheets. There is a living room, 2 dining tables and a breakfast bar between the full kitchen and living area. A large screen tv, board games, binoculars and more.

    Other things to note
    Enjoy the fire pit on the lower bank, but please be safe. We will try to always have a fishing rod, available and ready for use. We have sunglasses available to use in case you have forgotten, to really enjoy the view. They are free to borrow and they are sanitized and sealed after every use. Our rule of thumb is if we left it in the house, cupboards or fridge, it was intentionally left for our guests to enjoy. Other than that, the house is your!

Gorgeous view. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Pretty close to trails for hiking but also less than an hour outside of Seattle. Perfect little escape.

Fantastic experience

Stayed here while in the process of moving for a little getaway. The host Jennifer was very easy to work with and made us feel at home. The location is awesome. 10/10 will definitely be coming back

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this oasis! The house is really comfortable, has everything you need, and is in the most beautiful location with views to die for! Pictures cannot do it justice. Jennifer was a great host - so helpful and responsive. We would love to stay here again!

Family vacation

We take a family trip to sultan every year and this place has been the most relaxing inviting home we’ve been in so far. Super clean and accommodating with an amazing view. We had the most peaceful quiet trip. Thank you so much

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night. It was one of those experiences where the sum was more than its parts. I would definitely stay here again. You will get it when you stay here. XO

We had a very nice time, loved the river and all the tchotchkes and extras around the house. It felt like we were at our great grandparents house or like we went back in time. Host was friendly and responsive.

Very cozy and clean. Like a time capsule from the 70s-80s in all the right ways, but with all the modern conveniences. The outdoor area was very nice and well manicured with comfy seating options and river access (the river was too swift to enjoy in any way but visually, but that's what happens when you visit during a rain storm ) I loved that there was some fishing rods made available too. I loved the history of the man that owned it and the current owners desire to keep it a welcoming place of warmth and laughter for friends and guests. It was well stocked with clean linens, coffee supplies (and candy!) and any utensils/dishes you might need. I would 100% stay here again if my travels take me to the Monroe area.

Love this place. Very quiet and the view is amazing. Took a dip in the water and felt so refreshed. This place is truly a vacation destination to relax and unwind.

Very clean house with stunning views of the Skykomish river with mountains behind. There were a few little treats left by the owner which enhanced the stay. Overall though, I felt safe and loved the vibe and history of the place. We immediately felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Our stay was pleasant.

River view is spectacular. Eagles nest across the river brought us joy watching them come in and out. Well stocked kitchen, so we were able to cook on the grill each night. Flowers, flowers, everywhere! We will be back!

Sit for a minute in Genes favorite chair, listen to the river, and you'll see why he called this place home. We couldn't have had a better visit! The fall setting was amazing. I can only imagine how awesome summer is!!!
