In the background one can see the 'new' Providence. Most of these buildings have gone up within the past 25 years, after these two rivers were moved. Walking down Thayer Street, I saw this interesting scene. I was drawn to the big, solid colours and strong, geometric composition.

A statue of theologian Roger Williams was built in the late 1930s.. The 15-foot tall granite statue commemorates Williams' founding of the state of Rhode Island and his promotion for religious freedom. The statue depicts Williams gazing over the city. This is such a great place to get spectacular views of the city. The park faces west so the sunsets can be fantastic. #snow
