"Absolutely gorgeous property! Exactly as described, and even more relaxing in person! I loved the fire pit, the view from the porch and the sounds of nature in the backyard. The inside was so cute and cozy and made me wish I could live there permanently. 10/10 would stay here again. Elizabethtown is also a quaint little town that was close to great hiking!"

"The bathroom was very dirty, and we were not comfortable even using the shower. In addition, the front door does not lock at all, and we had to check in late due to the chalet not being ready. On the plus side, the beds were very comfy and the fireplace was a wonderful bonus. The chalet had a nice selection for tv channels. It needs some definite updating, but overall hosts did try to accommodate by offering us a free night- would recommend after renovations only. "

The host sent me a message the night before I was scheduled to arrive stating that the furnace was in the process of being replaced and the house was being heated by space heaters, which he said are working out quite well so far, just don’t ask me about my electric bill. "My husband and I stayed in the Balsam Cabin with two of our dogs. We were there on a last vacation with my oldest dog. It was a great place, very dog friendly and easily accessed by my Sr. dog. We took some great pictures out in back of the cabin which I loved. Close to Olympic training center, short drive to Mirror Lake plenty to do around and great places to eat. Cabins were clean and homey. Check in was a breeze. Will definitely stay again"

The Ausable River is right outside the door and a short walk to an easy access fly fishing pool.Close to many High Peak trailheads and fabulous restaurants around the corner.
