"Just an overnight stay to attend RSC. On such a hot day/night the air conditioning in our room was most welcome and made for a far better nights sleep. The hotel is working hard to make itself greener which is great to see. It is a little tired in some areas but I note work is taking place to address this. It would help if the reception area was bigger and had more staff to check-in or out. Finally, this venue is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues."

"Lovely service, receptionist Sarah upgraded us very kindly. Room amazing. Views across the garden to the golf course just beautiful. Could do with some type of Aircon although understandable not easily possible for the nature of period building. Spa is lovely, though pool was colder than expected and pool area noisy . "

"Nice property, clean and the room was reasonably sized. No AC, but they had a large fan. Only issue with the fan it was timed for two hours max, so had to keep getting up in the night to turn back on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again, but in cooler weather"

"A lovely hotel, great staff, great facilities a beautiful golf course and leisure facilities. The breakfast was very good and the food in the bar was also good. Only issue for me was the bed was a bit tired with the springs feeling through and the pillows just not firm enough for my liking. "

"Stayed for one night. It was spot on for what I needed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I didn't know my way around the town and they gave me some suggestions for evening meal. Had sky sports and I enjoyed the cricket whilst having a drink"

"The property was conveniently located and the staff very helpful but we were disappointed by the menu as we were looking forward to steak. Also the gin selection was poor and the scrabbled egg at breakfast was such that we decided not to eat any. Normally a hotel of this standing would offer fruit with breakfast but there were no healthy options in our opinion."
