"This place was a great "take a load off and chill" cabin! We had four adults and six children in our party and everyone had such a nice time! The area where the cabin is nice and secluded from hustle and bustle, but there are a few little stores close by (walking or 1-2 minute drive) or bigger grocery/hardware stores about a 10 min drive if needed. Brad was quick to respond with any questions we had or when he had to communicate extra details/information to us. He knew the property well and...

"We had a great time but there were some issues. The hiking trails were not that close, we had to drive to get to them.
The queen bed was very uncomfortable. My wife actually ended up sleeping on one of the full size beds.
As soon as we got home we received an extra charge bill of $150 for cleaning even though we noted in our reservation that we were traveling with a dog. We cleaned everything as well as we could and picked up the yard. They have to expect some cleaning before the next...

"We enjoyed our stay at Paul’s cabin. It was a great home base for us as we traveled around the area (Hillman, Alpena, Clear Lake State Park beach, Ocqueoc Falls, and Rogers City). The cabin was comfortable. It was close quarters but suited our needs. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us."

"From the outside we were worried but the room was awesome. One thing i would change is lower the hot water temp way to high little children may get scolded and its costing you money. But great little place and it's apparent you are making improvements daily. "

"The room has been updated and the ac was good. Bed was comfortable even without a pillow top. A couple fluffy pillows would be nice. Also, an ice machine or a freezer in the fridge would have been nice. Overall, this motel is a good value and we will visit again."
