"It would be nice if real people left real reviews. This property is located in a small town with under 5 hotel businesses. I traveled 14 hours for a family members funeral and was very disappointed upon arrival to this facility. It was infested with bugs. The clerk at the desk kept saying I can give you another room as if bugs don't travel. I asked the desk clerk to cancel my reservation and he refused. I did not stay here and was charged for the reservation even after trying to cancel the...

"Angler's Retreat is a perfect place for fishing Clarks Hill or Russell. Very convenient to both lakes. The home is well equipped and has plenty of parking for your boat. "We loved staying at this property. The Zook cabin was an amazing, thoughtful design with a giant picture window that made you feel like you were right there in the woods. Glamping at its finest. All of the amenities one could ask for, and more. We enjoyed al fresco meals on the patio, swinging in the rope chairs, kayaking on the tandem kayak, and marveling at the wildlife on the lake. "It was very private and quiet and a secluded area. It was a clean, cute little place. Only thing that drove me crazy was the acorns that kept falling on the tin roof. Overall great stay!"
