"We have just returned home from a very peaceful and relaxing couple of days at Cleeves Cabins. We stayed in the Arran Lodge which was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed for a wonderful stay including a wonderful hot tub on the decking. We spent many hours in the evening relaxing and watching the stars in the lovely warm hot tub. Robert our host and owner of the farm was very friendly and helped us out with knowledge of the area and suggesting some great places to visit. I...

"There was no clear way to easily communicate with host. Thankfully he reached out to us when we didn’t arrive at check-out time. He was gracious, but we had no number to inform him that we would be late. I won’t be using Expedia/VRBO, or whatever it’s called again. The platform is not nearly as good as Airbnb."

"Beautiful room, nice staff, clean, lovely bar & outside dining area (short stay, so didn't sample the food apart from breakfast which was fine). Located right on the the beachfront & a 5-10min walk from the town centre. If disabled & coming from either station, get a taxi as it's about a 30 min walk. Lift to all floors of hotel. Only issues were someone setting off the alarm after 1am (smoker?) & some guests being noisy at 3.30am (but only about 10 mins) - post nightclub? Otherwise, great stay....

"Stayed over a busy weekend of Horse Racing, with Ayr Racecourse directly accessible. Stayed within the hotel, as opposed to the courtyard. Big room, bug bathroom, had a substantial breakfast and chose to dine on the Friday night. Found the dining experience to be excellent. Staff are top notch too, very friendly with nothing too much trouble for the team. Top marks"

"Wonderful stay. Comfy bed and very quiet. I stayed single room with shared bathroom. No issues. Bathroom was spotless. I was not able to have breakfast due to work commitments but it smelt lovely. I would highly recommend and will stay again when in Ayr. "

"This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking. This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn. Having paid in full through Expedia, was told at reception on booking in that we haven't paid so a credit card was presented and payment taken (again) from that. "Much improved since my last visit - room had been repainted, new furniture and beds, old dank bathroom converted to bright walk in shower room and new carpets and curtains - only downside was the 3 foot single beds have been swopped out for narrow 2 foot beds. "

"I liked everything about the Marine. Only one criticism and that was the fact that the hotel itself does not have a direct telephone that you can ring them on. All calls for all hotels in the group go through central reservations whom I called and was put on hold for half an hour. But everything other aspect of the hotel and our stay was excellent. Will definitely stay there again without question."

"We enjoyed a relaxing one night stay. We were in room 7 and the bathroom was very small. However we would still return to the hotel. The gardens were superb. We had a drink in the bar and an evening meal plus breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were very good."

"Absolutely loved our stay. We cannot wait to come back again soon. The hotel was so charming. The staff were very sweet and the manager went out of his way to accommodate our requests. This will be our annual stay. "

"Friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Lots of choice for breakfast. Recommend surf and turf for evening meal. We stayed in single rooms which had everything we needed and were clean and priced competitively. Hotel is situated directly in front of the bay. "

"We were up to visit family and friends, met some in the bar. The room was as we requested, ground floor with walk in shower. The addition of a grab rail and shelf for the toiletries in the shower would be a good idea and why does hotels always have loose toilet seats? "
