"Wonderful property! Beautiful bedroom - very clean - premium bedding. Delightful garden - huge with amazing wisteria which all enhanced our cream tea. Staff very helpful all over. Parking and unloading not the easiest. Breakfast was disappointing - practically cleared up buffet 20 minutes before end. Overall would absolutely recommend!"

"It was really modern and clean inside; shared kitchen area with fridge, freezer, microwave, and free tea and coffee, which was great. Our room was quite hot as it was on the top floor, but when we asked, they brought up a fan, which was great and solved the problem. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for the beach with bar and restaurants very close by."

"Great location, easy parking, attentive staff and lovely food - but come on guys refresh the decor and get on top of the room cleaning. How about a regular deep clean of rooms that involves moving the beds, clearing the accumulations under them and cleaning the dust from the selves and ledges. You can do better. "

"It's an interesting hotel but tired! Must be an ex naval personnel club or hotel I would guess due to the large collection of naval memorabilia. Nice and decorative inside in an old fashioned way. Convenient for the Historic Dockyard which is only about 10 minutes walk away and was the reason for our trip, and Gunwarf Quays. Good cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. Nice and clean and a comfortable bed. Enjoyable stay but wouldn't stay here again."

"A very enjoyable stay. Staff were great and food excellent . Coffee and tea availability quite poor in room. No instant coffee sachets, no choice other than expresso and insufficient milk ."
