"Our stay was absolutely divine. Even though the house was immense, it felt so welcoming and accommodating. Audrey greeted us as we came in all dressed up. We felt so special! We had 20 people in our overnight group and another 8 who gathered to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. There were so many dishes and serving trays and beautiful bowls to put all of the things in. "Rented this home for U of I graduation. It is conveniently located - just about 5 minute drive to campus. Neighborhood is quaint and quiet. House had ample space and the kitchen had adequate amenities. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, paper towels supplied. We hung out in the backyard which had a nice patio table and chairs. Charming house in a charming, walkable area. We would certainly stay here again. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The only downside is the train that runs throughout the night. The house is right by an intersection, so the train has to blow the horn as it passes over it. The owner was easy to work with and was responsive when I needed to reach out."

"The historic Burr House is beautiful! Original owners in the 1860s were acquainted with Lincoln. Lovely woodwork, built in cabinets. Beautifully furnished with 6 bedrooms, great beds and bedding and towels. Plenty of hot water for 5 showers in a row one morning! Across the street is a charming park where children swing, people walk their dogs and the atmosphere is inviting. Great for reunions!"

"Kid friendly - pet friendly - lovely view of stars (when no clouds). Comfortable home! Stairs are kind of steep if you have someone with mobility issues but they have their other 1 story property too. I walked past it during a hike and it also looks lovely. Kevin was so easy to communicate with. I will be back."

"This house and property is amazing, and the pictures do not do it justice. It’s beautiful on its own, however we also had the bonus of having it decorated for Christmas. Lori not only had a Christmas tree, but there were multiple other decorations hidden in corners of each room, several animated animals like Mickey Mouse that my grandkids loved, and there was even an Elf on a Shelf. "We appreciated all of the space and many bedrooms. Although the weather was rainy and we couldn’t use the yard, it looked like a huge space and nice deck. The basement was another nice place to hang out. Some of the basic essentials like more hand soap we didnt see was available. We would recommend this property and stay there again. "
