"I have always said that I will make honest reviews. Although this property is beautiful, you can tell it is very old. The musty smell, the creaky floors and the grime in the pool area are some things that I noticed. Also I think it would have been nice if there was some type of staff patrolling through the building. I wondered if there was some sort of problem in this room prior to my arrival because another guest staying there did not have this problem in their room. "The lady who checked us in was absolutely wonderful. So nice and helpful. The room itself was the issue. There was what appeared to be black mold on the ceiling in front of the vent, and the vent itself was very dirty. The carpet felt wet, and really the whole room had a wet, damp feeling. Our feet/socks were filthy after walking on the carpet. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive room! We will not be back."
