"Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. "

"Great rooms our second time staying at staycation and different suite this time everything went smoothly check in etc but no hot water in the room, wouldn’t have been a big issue but with it being December and the solution being to run across the hallway to another unit was cold Shanon was as helpful as she could be but with the cost of the stay this should have been checked before hand with a PPM check Out first stay in the de vere suite was a great stay but this time unfortunately wasn’t so...

"This was one of the worst places for cleanliness we have ever stayed in. Unfortunately the cleaner is very young and has probably never been shown how to clean properly. The people who run the place obviously don't check the rooms properly. The towels smelt like they had been washed in cooking oil. One morning my husband asked for a clean cup as we could clearly see it was not clean and the person said whatever in a matter of fact way. I have plenty of photographs for evidence of this. "

"No private parking just on street free parking to front if you are lucky to get it if not close by to a public car park. Lovely quiet warm room with comfy bed. Lovely to get the breakfast bit's in with the room Didnt use Tassimo coffee maker as wasnt very clean so told staff, very squeaky floorboards !!! "

"Good car parking space, comfortable bed, could maybe do with modernising but overall not a bad stay. 1 downside was there was a bit of noice as it’s just off the A12 and the doors rattled."

"Room was nice but in need of update, bed base was ripped and cushions were stale and in need of a wash. It was good to have a fully stocked fridge Bathroom was lovely and a good size. Breakfast was good but disappointing to have to pay for fresh coffee. The coffee in the table flasks was not the best. Overall hotel is nice and I have stayed here many times but could do with a few tweaks here and there."

"We stayed in this property for 5 days (December 11 to 16). On checking out, we asked for the total fee for our parking our vehicle for the 5 nights. We were told it costs £8 a night and to pay using the machine at the gate. We did. We paid £40 for the 5 nights. We got home, and received a £60 "fine" for parking at this hotel, even though we paid, we have the receipt and it shows in our credit card. We got another £60 admin fee charged by our car rental company to our card for this same...
