"I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We only stayed one night as our itinerary was very full, but I would definitely recommend this Inn. the people were friendly, and it was a perfect stay for my English holiday!"

"Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

"The room was very beautiful and clean. Staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, and helped us with our heavy luggage without hesitation. Within five minutes of our arrival, we were welcomed with fresh tea, and our room had complimentary cakes! "A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. "

"Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out."
