"Great service, very kind and friendly check in. The rooms are simple and you have to pay for the towels, but then again- the price of accommodation definitely justifies the payment for extras. Has a bar, open until 11pm. And it is genuinely all you need for a night stay. Also offers breakfast, full english for £9.99. And it is perfectly located for the Monsal Trail and ither walks."

"The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. "

"This is an excellent hotel for a short stay in the peaks. Extremely dog friendly, with a dog wash for muddy paws! Clean and modern, guest lounge and great bar/dinning area. "

"We had a lovely two night stay at Losehill. Ideally situated if you want to walk up Losehill or Mam Tor and Edale is a 20 minute bus ride away. The bus can be caught from the bottom of the lane. The service from every member of staff we encountered during our stay was outstanding. The food was excellent with amazing views as you eat."

"The staff were excellent/first class. Nothing was too much trouble and always provided with a smile. The location was perfect set in a very quiet valley. The spa was another strong plus - i would recommend the body and face treatment. And the restaurant was equally excellent too. "

"This is a lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who seemed to take a personal interest in all their guests. It was a pleasure to stay there and our room was beautifully comfortable and spacious. The only drawback was the long climb from the town centre if walking! "

"Great property, lovely staff and facilities. As the property is on a steep hill the parking was challenging especially when other guests parked inconsiderately."

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel and really couldn’t fault it all. The staff were lovely, warm, friendly, very kind & obliging, the room had all the facilities you needed, was very clean, quiet and had fabulous views. The food in the restaurant was very good & offered a nice selection. The continental breakfast was perfect (muesli, granola, mixed berries, yoghurt etc - all my favourite things) & they even provided oatmilk. Above all that it was exceptional value, so we’ll definitely come again...

"The location for the Peaks is fantastic and it’s more affordable than staying in the Peaks itself. We stayed as a family of four and have stayed here before prior to its rebrand but it could do with a bit of TLC. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and also engaged with our young children which was nice. There is a bar/restaurant connected to the hotel, where we had a drink, but we didn’t eat there. Free parking and a less than one minute drive into the Peaks - brilliant for what we...

"Was a lovely little room. Clean and cozy.
Down points are that room was too hot with no means to cool it down and no spoons or stirrers to make the drinks.
Would deffo recommend but if your like me and get hot too quick then ask for a room with aircon."

"Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...
