"The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...

"Good thing So clean, cozy and silent. All facilities were good. There were many good and fancy restaurants, and marts. The park, just next to the apartment was so amazing and beautiful. I fell in love to Almaty through this apartment. The manager could speak excellent English that easy to check everything what I need. Weakness There is no elevator for 3rd floor. "

"It was a completely terrible stay, they took the money for 4 people and gave me a bed for 2 people and a sofa with a broken leg. They are also very rude and threatening people. Definitely stay away. "We booked a one BR Apartment for a family of 4 including 2 kids (5 yo). The apartment and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. The sofa bed in the living room converted to a pull out bed (unfortunately it is the most uncomfortable bed for 2). The location of the hotel is excellent, with 2 minutes walk to the famous Arbat Street. There are plenty of supermarkets around, with a huge Magnum store just across the road in Lumier building. "

"Inside the room was clean with ac and water bottles. But the door and the Frame itself wasn’t the most updated. Location was okay with quick walk to the bus route to the airport and main bus station. The breakfast was poor, I noticed the server bringing other plates of food look better than the plate I was given, mine had old brown apple slices and stale brown bread. Maybe the kitchen staff treated me less because I was a person of colour, probably. Front desk was ok and answered my questions. "

"Ich habe kürzlich ein paar Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht und bin absolut begeistert. Schon beim Check-in wurde ich herzlich empfangen, das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mein Zimmer war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!"
