"My friend and I had a girlie two night break at this hotel and loved it. When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. We were very touched by his thoughtfulness. It was an upgrade to a suite which was outstanding and it really enhanced our comfort and experience. "Positives - Good location for York; great showers and comfortable bed. Negatives - only breakfast option is continental breakfast served in room, though room facilities to do this minimal. No communal space for a drink etc other than a small unwelcoming area between the front door and the reception hatch, which offered a very small range of self serve drinks. More a place to sleep than a place to stay."

"This place are definitely charming and very clean, and the staff is super friendly and patient. If you arrive before check in, you can leave your luggage and take a walk around the centre. The room had a water heater and you can make yourself tea or coffee (which I love because not all hotels offer it).
