"First of all, let me say that I would give this place 10 stars if that were possible. We have stayed many places that have been wonderful and unique, but if we only ever stayed one place this would be it.As you might imagine in a place with little hobbit hole like rooms much of the decor somehow relates to Lord of the Rings. "Very clean, interesting accommodations in a great location. Our hosts were responsive and attentive. The location is a short jaunt from Bardstown in the heart of Kentucky Bourbon country. The structure itself, inside and out, is interesting. It was stocked with all we needed for our stay."

"My wife and I stayed for a weekend in the Bourbon Barrel Cottages. It was such an excellent experience. The owners had fantastic communication. It was super easy to check-in and out.Our cottage was extremely clean and modern. "Receptiveness and availability of hostess to a small handful of concerns. Beauty of the rental unit itself and the view of the Courthouse (made famous in a sixties Hollywood production, "The Flim Flam Man). A part of Kentucky you might drive through bit rarely drive to. Really glad I took the time to do so in this lovely and welcoming stopping point on the Bourbon Trail."
