"The carpets in the inn were filthy when walking up to the rooms! The beds were super squeaky and the room got super warm at night. We asked for a fan and were given one that doesn't work. Sleeping was almost impossible for me. The en suite bathroom we had in the double room did not only not have a latch, but the door also somehow swung and was overall very inconvenient - not ideal if you're travelling with someone who's not your partner. "Major staffing issue in kitchen and hospitality - we waited 40 mins for a sharer and starter on Saturday night, then it all came together. Another table of 6 waited 1 hr 40 mins for one salad to arrive! Salmon dish was tiny and overcooked. Sent it back. The waiter Omar was brilliant at service recovery and very apologetic - hats off to him. Breakfast was pretty poor too - only one coffee machine for hundreds of guests, food took ages to be replenished and tables not cleared. Staff on reception...

"The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips! We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...

"The rooms were fine, but it’s more a bar and nightclub than a boutique hotel. After making the booking they sent a message informing us about the late night music which was not advertised in the description. I asked to cancel but they refused, and said they would allocate a quiet room instead. When we arrived they had downgraded the room type (no bath included as promised) and did not offer to alter the price."

"Room was very clean however very compact and narrow for a family of 4. Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful and great to work with. Breakfast was very good! Only issue was that I misread that the pool was not onsite and was only accessed via a local shared pool in another area of the town. Parking was not included and was in a multistory next door with a subsidized rate."
