Centre Esplai Hostel

10/10 Excelente

"Im surprised to read the relatively negative comments for this accommodation by other visitors. It's a 2 star hotel, so it should be reviewed by that standard. This place is near the airport, rooms are spacious, staff is friendly and the breakfast is decent enough. Heck, they even have a pool. I also find it a breath of fresh air in a world of spoiled, decadent and complaining tourism (which Barcelona is full off) that there is a non-profit organisation promoting sustainability and running an eco-friendly hostel. For a change, the outside sitting area is surrounded by mostly native plants (instead of exotic species which are ruining the Mediterranean in most places). Last of all, this is among the cheaper accommodations out there, which offers private rooms. If you want it fancier, take your spoiled persona somewhere else and pay for it. All in all, a 5 star experience for a 2 star place. One small are for improvement could be the USB charging hubs in the room, which is my case were both broken."

"An absolute hidden gem! The room was HUUUUGE, with a beautiful view that made the stay even more special. A truly charming place near Barcelona that exceeded expectations. I would happily come back!"
