Unorganized & lacking support while there

This was a short 2 night stay in Venice, with a few issues during our stay. We traveled for a month around Italy and stayed in quite a few different VRBO’s. This property had unorganized communication getting set up for arrival. I was contacted several times asking of my arrival time, even after I had given an approximate timeframe. Once there at the property, we had to wait for the check-in person for nearly a half hour. The property needs some maintenance – the stove is difficult to light, nightstands are a bit precarious and quite dirty underneath, bathroom door handle fell off a couple of times, and the air conditioner was leaking so bad we had to turn it off. It was quite humid and we never got any help with the air conditioner so we left the windows open for some air, and then had to deal with mosquitoes. Not a highlight in our European travels.

A good sized apartment in a quiet corner of Venice. its easy to imagine that it was nice 10-12 years ago - with a spacious open plan living / kitchen and two bedrooms with reasonably good beds and waldrobes. However, when my wife , daughter and I were there in early April 2025 it was badly run-down with a broken door handle, shelf/shelves and missing kitchen cabinetry, worn out Teflon pots, no toaster, no kettle, and in great need of paint, art and TLC. We reached out to our 'host' and they quickly delivered new pots and pillows which was appreciated but frankly the apartment never felt like anything but a typical corporate-owned apartment - being milked for revenue and drained of personality. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. PS The meet and greet (key handover) was great, thanks. PPS the apartment also suffered from extremely noisy upstairs neighbours from 9pm to 11pm each day - like clockwork!

Viele Dinge in der Wohnung, insbesondere der Küche, müssten repariert werden. Die Küche ist zum Kochen nicht besonders gut ausgestattet.Für den hohen Preis ist der Zustand der Wohnung nicht okay.

Cosy and cute, but below expectations

The apartment looks old, the walls are cracked and dirty. Things are falling apart. A little plaster and a coat of paint would do wonders. Better mattresses and breathable linen are definitely required. The bathroom smelled like sewers. There are also Too many rules. The apartment is small, except for that one main bedroom; but overall cosy. Not a great choice if it rains or if you plan to spend quite a bit of time indoors. There's just no room to move comfortably. And no comfortable seating. I was traveling with my mom. We spent most of the day outside just roaming the streets, canals and islands of Venice. So we didn't spend too much time in the apartment. The owner doesn't want you to use the A/C (although it gets super humid in the apartment throughout the night - I woke up frequently, sweating. It's not hot, just humid!!!). Note the neighbors upstairs are noisy and they knocked on the floors a couple of times our last evening because we were watching a movie (and it got louder when there were action scenes). They clearly preferred bothering us ALL evening (by constantly moving/dragging furniture around and walking with heels) then being bothered a few minutes at a time for 1 hour and 39 minutes! Cool area, walkable to just about everything. So I give it a "low 4 star" rating , just because it's still a good option, not cheap, but one of the lower costs in the area. The host was responsive enough, and my traveling partner would give it 4-stars.

Nice flat in Venice

This space has two bedrooms which was perfect for us. The common area (living area and kitchen) were a bit smaller than expected, but we did not spend a lot of time in the apartment. Shower was good, and there was plety of hot water. We enjoyed our stay at the property, but had a hard time with the mosquitos which were expected, but worse than usual. There is an air conditioning unit which would have been quite helpful, and I would suggest that you bring citronella or other deterrent as there are no screens on the windows, and you will want to have them open! I loved the view from the main bedroom. Beds were comfortable and plenty of storage for clothes. Location is great--a little quieter than other areas which is great after a busy day--close to Rialto bridge and waterbus! Don't forget the city tax which has to be paid in Euros when you arrive!

Découverte de Venise

Le logement est bien situé pour découvrir Venise , conforme au descriptif, il faudrait vérifier toute les portes de le cuisine car une d’elle ( lave vaisselle ) est tombée quand nous avons fait l’état des lieux et celle du réfrigérateur n’est pas fixée non plus .

Charming apartment in Great location

My stay in Venice was a good experience. the apartment was excellently located in a quiet small plaza just seconds from a Sotoportego and a Canal ( canal de la teta), and within walking distance to eateries and supermarkets. there was no welcome coffee upon arrival, However, communication with the manager was smooth, and he kindly allowed an early check-in. The 2 rooms are spacious but there were mosquitoes so we had to turn on the air conditioner (which is in the eating and resting area) and close the beautiful windows!!!! You must remember that there is a foreigner fee that must be payed in cash upon arrival. We enjoyed and recommend the place!!!!!

Great stay!

Beautiful property in a quiet area of Venice. We did have some difficulty running the AC and the stove at the same time. It kept tripping the breaker, but the host was helpful and responded quickly. We were never able to get the microwave working, so we used the stove to heat leftovers. Would recommend as a good place to stay while visiting Venice.

Great location and Host

We loved our apartment! The location was away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything we needed. The host was very responsive and we loved all the attention to detail on how the property was managed. Thank you for making our time in Venice wonderful!
