"Beautiful house in excellent condition in a nice quiet area. Everything you need is provided in the house. The phone in the house did not seem to work to call the reception though. The nearest Tofukuji Station is only a few minutes’ walk away with two convenience stores on the way. Love to return in the future; cannot recommend more!! "

"This was by far our favourite accommodation in Japan. The manager was amazing and the accommodation was spacious, traditional but will all of the modern facilities. We loved it and wished we had spent more time here. In fact, once we moved to Osaka, we travelled back twice to spend time in this area and a little town called Sanjo. "

"It was interesting staying in a Japanese house. Really enjoyed that. However the location was not practical sunce we had to taxi to Gion. I was unable to enjoy the beautiful bath since the water was only lukewarm and I tried many times and yes, I pressed the water red button as instructed"

"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...

"Really nice stay at the Hyatt Regency for 5 nights. Staff were lovely - spacious room. Nice little touches like the Geisha dancer performance. Museum, temple and beautiful gardens/shrines on your doorstep. Short walk to Shichigo station to get up into Gion."

"We had a great time staying at this beautiful traditional Japanese house. Everything was perfect! The host thought of everything. The house is very spacious and elegant. Highly recommend staying at this place!"

"ligt vlak bij het station, subway en bushalte. Hotel heeft public bath enkel voor dames, mijn dochter heeft hiervan zeer kunnen genieten. Het hotel is vanuit de subway bereikbaar hierdoor hoef je geen spoor over te steken of met zware koffers trappen op te sjouwen."

The property is near several convenience stores and was walking distance to the train station as well as some major sight seeing locations.
