Lakeview Bungalow Retreat on Captain Ron's #6

Located across the parking lot from Captain Ron's, this is a perfect little getaway for up to three guests. This home is a one bedroom, cozy living room with a futon, one full bathroom, an equipped kitchen and a deck. The best part is that you are only steps away to having fun at Captain Ron’s Bar and Grill. Amenities include Air Conditioning, Cable TV, Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Gas Grill, Community Fire Pit and slip available to use in the community covered dock. We also offer Free Wi-fi at Captain Ron's, but none is available in the unit. High chair, Hair dryer, iron & ironing board available per request. Smoking is allowed outside only. The property is also just down the hill from Scallywag's RV Park which offers both primitive tent sites and full RV hook-ups for all your overflow needs.

Check in and out procedures are super easy. This particular little house was just right for our needs with a quaint little kitchen and grill for our use. The manager was very accommodating and quick on responding to any questions or concerns we had. Would love to stay here again! Love the location!

We loved it! I own Lily Setter so we were a vendor at Aquapalooza. It was maybe 50 steps from the event at Captain Ron’s. The bungalow is perfect especially when it’s so close to the lake and a restaurant that we love. Amazing host and would recommend.

Reunion

My friend and I have not seen each other in about 15 years and we booked your place to meet up at and have a weekend of fun sun, beverages and a little softball. Everything was absolutely spectacular. I don’t think I’ll ever stay anywhere but Captain Ron’s anytime I go to the Ozarks from here on out

Smokey

Not a bad stay but not a good one either. First, the whole unit smelled of cigarettes as if the previous user had disobeyed the “No Smoking” notice on the wall. Very stinky. Second, the carpets are in dire need of a good cleaning. Didn’t feel comfortable going barefoot. Third, the coffee pot was not functioning properly. It took 3 hours to brew a half pot of coffee. Fourth and lastly most of the mini blinds were in poor shape with broken or heat bent slats. Didn’t feel very safe with the gaps especially next to a busy restaurant.

No issues with the rental, however, the listing states it is a "lake view" cabin. Sadly, the view is non existent.

The property was nothing fancy, but did the trick for a getaway weekend. Easy access to entertainment, nightlife food, and drinks.

It wasn’t anything fancy.. there were a few things that needed repaired but it didn’t bother us. It was very clean and it fit our needs. We aren’t fancy stuffy people.

Bungalow Retreat

Overall a good place to stay for the cost. Our trip was off season so we had to contact the property manager when we checked in to have them turn the water on. Other than that no issues at all. As others have stated, it might be a good idea to bring an extra roll of toilet tissue with you.

Condition of the unit

While the little house was very cute, it was in shabby condition. The shower was blistered, the cabinets were dirty, the refrig was rusted and loud, the mattress was old and the wood on the deck was rotted.

Weekend at the Captain’s

This was my first Vrbo experience. Checkin was easy with key code provided. Nice but basic lake cabin near Captain Ron’s B&G. Linens and towels were provided, though basic. Pillows could use replacement, as could coffee maker. Not enough TP, so bring your own. Futon was dirty, needed cleaning badly. It was nice being close to the action at Ron’s on Saturday and Sunday nights, though it was early in the season. Not bad for the price. Would consider again.

Good communication with owners. Friendly and do all they can to accommodate. Fair price for what you're getting in the area of Lake of the Ozarks.

Great host and clean accommodation.

Host was very accommodating and had great communication. Place was clean and basic needs stocked. Had a little issue with understanding how to make the TV work. But other than that it was great captain Ron's Bar and Grill has great food
