Rockies 2437 is a 3rd floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in an amazing location, walking distance from the ski area for most (maybe not if you are hauling skis or have kids hauling skis) and right on the free bus route. It also offers Emerald Mountain views and makes a fantastic vacation rental.

Enter the property into the spacious living area and find dining options a plenty including four bar stools at the kitchen counter and a dining table with 6 chairs. Both great for meals, drinks, playing a game or doing a puzzle.

Rockies 2437 also offers a work station/ desk in the living area, including a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse - plug in to the included HDMI cable that is connected to the monitor. Combined with high speed wifi, this makes this unit a great option for working remotely.

On the other side of the living area, kick back on the comfy sofa next to the flat screen TV and gas fireplace, which keeps the unit extremely toasty. The brand new sleeper sofa pulls out to a queen with an upgraded memory-foam mattress.

Enjoy the beverage of your choice and some outdoor living space on the private deck off of the living area.

The full kitchen is off the living area and has everything you will need to stay home and make a great meal.

The downstairs bedroom has a king bed, great views, flat screen TV and lots of storage.

There is a full bathroom downstairs with a tub shower combo.

The private loft en suite offers both a queen bed and full bunk bed, a flat screen TV, lots of storage and full bathroom with a tub shower combo.

Enjoy a soak or swim in the year-round community hot tubs and pool, work out at the fitness center, hang out by community fire-pit or play at the Volleyball court (Summer only) or Ping Pong Table.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

To start, the unit was clean, well appointed and exactly as described. The location is good, its a nice jumping off point to get to town or to the mountain, this was a summer trip so it was good for us to go to the river bike trail to get to town, and the botanic gardens, the warm pool in the river, etc. It was a little more effort to get to the mountain via bike with a 5 year old but we made it and had a good time playing in the river and catching the live music. The big concern...obviously a condo in the summer in the mountains means you have to have the windows open since AC isn't really a thing. So we had all of the windows wide open in the unit. The first morning our 5 year old went into the main floor bedroom and was looking out the window and the screen just....fell out. Its a big window and its about 18-24 inches off the ground. If he had been leaning forward at all he could have easily fallen out of this window, three stories. Pretty terrifying to think about. The screen doesn't secure into the window frame at all, the pegs that should push into holes around the frame are missing entirely or don't actually fasten into anything. Be cautious of that window. The owners & management company might also want to consider some safety measures to limit how far the window opens or some other fall safety option. To be clear, I tried to login to the iTrip website to send them this information in their post-stay review portal - but get errors when trying to create an account.

Check in was smooth and the location is great. The pool was a nice amenity. The unit is on the 3rd floor, which is no problem, but the complex has stairs everywhere and is not super friendly for toddlers or strollers - definitely not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. The unit itself is nice and clean, however the carpet needs attention - I didn't feel like I could walk around in my bare feet. At the time of our stay, there was also construction during the week right outside the condo balcony which was not communicated. The view is very nice otherwise. Overall, a good spot for the price.

Great location with an easy walk to the slopes. Nice entertaining space and lots of beds. Great for our guys ski trip.
