THE HOME
As you enter Ava, you'll be captivated by its towering presence and innovative design. The cabin boasts a series of hidden doors that add an element of mystery and discovery to your stay. Step inside to discover a full home theater, allowing you to unwind and enjoy your favorite films in a cozy, private setting.

One of Ava’s most enchanting features is its magical sliding island, a guest-favorite centerpiece that reveals a hidden spiral staircase.

The cabin's thoughtful design extends to a sunken bed with 360-degree views in the loft, creating a stargazing paradise where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the night sky.

For moments of relaxation, Ava invites you to indulge in a 7-person hot tub, offering a soothing retreat with panoramic views of the entire valley. Whether you're soaking under the stars or enjoying the scenic landscape during the day, the hot tub provides a perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty.

While Ava offers a remote escape surrounded by nature, convenience is never compromised. A short 7-minute drive takes you to Food Lion, ensuring you have easy access to essentials. Walmart is also just 18 minutes away. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the prime location places Skyline Drive and the trails of Shenandoah National Park within a scenic 27-minute drive.

Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family reunion, or a memorable gathering with friends, it promises an unforgettable experience, seamlessly blending luxury, nature, and convenience in one remarkable setting.

OUTDOOR
Along with a 7 person hot tub, you will also find a gas grill and a 36” Blackstone (propane is provided). You have everything you need to grill some great food! You’ll also find corn hole and an 8 person fire pit with plenty of space for the whole group.

CELL SERVICE AND WIFI
Ava has offered great cell service as tested on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile allowing you to stay connected during your stay. In addition, free wifi is offered but you may find that your cell service be more performant due to limited wifi options in the area. We have been WFH from Ava for several weeks and have been able to take video calls and upload files without much issue.

Pets
Pets are accepted on a case by case basis with an additional pet fee of $100. Please contact us before booking (via Instagram DM @avashenandaoh or e-mail at stay@avashenandoah.com) if you'd like to bring along your furry friend so we can determine if your pet can be accepted; prior reviews mentioning the dog (through Airbnb or VRBO) are highly encouraged. For more than 1 dog, additional pet fees and deposits may apply.


Other things to note
Insect Notice: Ava sits in the midst of nature and of course, with nature comes insects. While we maintain proper pest control, you can expect to run into these harmless critters during your stay.
Weather Warning: As the weather can be unpredictable in the mountains, there is a possibility of storms or power outages. We do not offer weather related refunds outside of our cancellation policy so you may wish to purchase trip cancellation insurance for your travels in case you do need to cancel
WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR USE OF HOT TUB

The guests agree to use extreme caution and care in the hot tub on the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage to the hot tub and/or property caused by the guests.

Guests further agree that everyone using a hot tub will shower and clean feet upon the use of the hot tub.

Furthermore, the agreement is made that NO oils, bubble bath, soaps, other liquids, or any other harmful materials will be used in the hot tub.

No glass products whatsoever are allowed in or around the hot tub. If any items such as soaps, bath products, food, alcohol, etc. are found in the tub, the guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.

Damage to a hot tub cover will result in a $400 charge. The cover should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Guests agree that there will be no horseplay in the hot tub as well as not to sit on, jump on, or misuse the hot tub cover in any manner.

Guests acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the hot tub. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, death, personal injury, or property damage that may arise from the use of the hot tub. By using the hot tub guests agree to follow all house rules associated with it and release the host/property owner from any and all claims, liability, or losses whatsoever arising out of or in any way associated with the guests' use of the hot tub, including but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR USE OF ARCHERY AMENITY

Guests understand and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with using the bow. Guests willingly assume the potential for injury, accidents, or even death that may arise from bow usage. By engaging in archery, guests commit to adhering to all relevant house rules and relieve the host of any liability for injuries resulting from archery, irrespective of negligence. Comprehensive archery rules and instructions will be outlined on the signage located adjacent to the equipment. Guests bear responsibility for any damages inflicted on the archery equipment.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR USE OF LOFT STAIRS

The guests agree to use extreme caution and care while climbing the alternating tread ladder to the loft. Ladder should only be used as intended while facing the steps and using both hand rails.

Absolutely no horseplay while climbing the ladder. Only 1 person may climb the ladder at a time. Children must be accompanied by an adult from below at all times as they climb the ladder. When entering the loft, children should climb the ladder first when going up, followed by the supervising adult. When exiting the loft, the supervising adult should climb down the ladder first followed by the children.

Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not to climb the ladder. If guests require an alternative sleeping arrangement, please contact your host and an air mattress will be provided. When the loft is occupied and the ladder is not in use, the gate should be in the closed position.

Guests acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the alternating tread ladder. Guests voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, death, personal injury that may arise from the use of the ladder. By using the ladder guests agree to follow all rules associated with it and release the host/property owner from any and all claims, liability, or losses whatsoever arising out of or in any way associated with the guests' use of the ladder, including but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
