"Once again this hotel has lived up to its friendly reputation and hospitality. Rooms are so comfortable you get a good nights sleep, breakfast was amazing, great selection and hot. Shops could not be any more conveniently located."

"Have stayed here 3 times in the last few years. A wonderfully spacious hotel in every respect. Excellent service from staff, especially the Polish lady at the checkin counter and Lynn at breakfast. Free parking at the football stadium opposite the hotel. I love the walk-in shower. Modern and slick. I love the teak wood furniture in the room. The lightings. The pillows. The strong wifi. Etc. Will stay here again in the near future."

"Always nice to stay here. Our go to B&B. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate. Very comfortable bed. Fabulous facilities. Pity the breakfast option wasn't available (due to unforeseen circumstances) but there are plenty cafes, restaurants etc on the doorstop that do the job just as well. "

"The view was beautiful, the room was beautiful, had a fantastic stay for my friends birthday. The staff couldn't be more helpful.. The only thing and i mean only thing that let it down is the glass table and glass on the balcony could have been cleaned more often. "

"Lovely few days on the North East coast. Breakfast was just what you need with both cooked options and fruit/pastry. The staff were lovely in all areas of the hotel including the gym&pool. You can't go far wrong. Our room was comfy, clean and perfect for a short stay. "

"We stayed for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Sally and Paul were perfect hosts, friendly and chatty. The room was clean and well equipped. The location was great, not too far from the centre or the attractions but nice and quiet. Only had breakfast once but it was delicious. Everything was clean and we had all we needed. Definitely will be booking again when we can "

"Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old."

"Sadly my stay was spoil by the barman in the wedding swearing at my wife when she asked politely for some ice just after bar shut and told here to go and fetch it herself. Sad as the place is lovely and we would have come back "

"Very clean and comfy. Had everything in that we needed , plenty of kitchen utensils , cups ,plates and glasses. We had a bathroom and separate toilet. We had a great view of the bay . Spoke to Andrew the owner , very nice bloke . If we are going back to the area we would definitely stay here again . "

"Coming from Australia a castle is a story book locale. To walk on Genuine flagstones was a real treat. The North is much more hospitable than London. I will be back. "
