"Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. "

"We had a lovely couple of nights at the Bear Hotel. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Only very slight negative on room, was that on our first night, we could only get luke-warm water from the shower. Ate in the restaurant and meal was good quality overall. Service in restaurant was a little slow and lacking some attention to detail but pleasant all the same. Will happily return to stay here again, and plan to do so."

"I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. "Staff were amazing, using a real human approach to their job. Youve got a a great team that work together and understand that their customers are people too. We had some awesome chats with lewis in particular during our short stay and can see hes destined for big things in his life! Truly cant wait to see and hear what he gets up to because no matter what he does hes going to absolutely smash it just like he did with serving us during our stay. "As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. "

"En general nos pareció muy limpio y el personal muy amable. La ubicación es perfecta por céntrica y porque esta a la mano de los principales medios de transporte. Pensamos que es necesario algún espacio para colocar la maleta dentro de la habitación, considerando que se trata de habitaciones para 3 ó 4 personas. La cama muy cómoda, la regadera con buena presión de agua y el agua caliente salío rápido (la indicación de caliente-rojo / fría-azul está al revés). "
