The Space:
Discover the essence of comfort and elegance in this meticulously crafted suite. The main bedroom showcases a luxurious king-size bed and a smart TV, promising a restful retreat. The thoughtfully designed kitchenette is equipped with a mini-refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker, allowing you to prepare your favorite beverages and snacks. The private bathroom is fully stocked with essential amenities, including body wash, shampoo, and fresh towels. Kindly note that this suite is located on the second floor and is accessible via stairs. Mention to The Modern Rose staff you are staying upstairs for a free coffee!

Guest Access:
Located on the second floor, the apartment is accessed through a secure coded entry system. Guests first enter the building, then use their code at the 'Pomar House Suites' door to access the upper floors. Upon reaching the second floor, guests will find their unit and use the same code for entry.

Easily walkable, the Historic District of America’s Oldest City is home to captivating Spanish-Colonial architecture and landmarks. Hop on the Old Town Trolley and spend a day visiting notable places such as the Castillo de San Marcos and Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth. The St. Augustine and City Gate Distilleries, San Sebastian Winery and Whetstone Chocolates all provide tasting tours and for those who love a good spook, check out the historic ghost tours of America’s Oldest City. Cross the Bridge of Lions and head over to the Alligator Farm Zoological Park and Anastasia State Park to immerse yourself in nature. Beach days come easy here—Vilano and St. Augustine Beaches are just minutes away, and with 4WD access, you can drive right onto the cinnamon sands and soak in the Atlantic breeze.

Getting Around:
Our apartment's prime location in the Historic District allows for easy walking access to many local points of interest. For those looking to explore the beaches, a car is recommended. Guests can utilize the city's secure paid parking garage at 1 Cordova Street ($20 per entry and subject to availability).

Other Things to Note:
- You’ll be staying right in the heart of St. Augustine’s beautiful historic district. Because space is limited here, long-term parking isn’t available at the property. However, you’re welcome to use the driveway for easy loading and unloading of your luggage. For the rest of your stay, the Historic Downtown Parking Facility is just two blocks away at 1 Cordova Street ($20 per entry and subject to availability)—safe, convenient, and close by.
- To keep the experience peaceful for everyone, we kindly ask that no parties or events be hosted in the home.
- Smoking is not permitted inside, ensuring the space stays fresh and enjoyable for all guests.
- We love pets, but this property is a pet-free suite so it remains comfortable for all who visit.
- All guests are asked to follow the simple guidelines outlined in the rental agreement to help make your stay smooth and enjoyable.
- The primary guest booking must be at least 21 years old at the time of reservation and during the stay. This helps us provide a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

Great location

Parking was a problem but once that was dealt with things improved. There is only a microwave for cooking and decaffeinated Keurig cups. Only 1 plastic wine glass. The locks were a pain to deal with. Management was easy to get hold of and very responsive. The unit is very small but clean and well maintained. The location is ideal and close to everything.

Didn't feel we got our money worth

Our top priorities were location (wanted to be in downtown within walking distance to sights & restaurants) and value for price and while we feel the location was perfect, other factors were a let down. First, upon arrival the locks (coded) didn't work. When I tried to call, no one answered. I didn't receive a call-back for 30-minutes. In the meantime, my husband was able to get us into the unit, but the lack of communication wasn't worth the hassle. Also in the middle of our 3-day stay a cleaning person literally walked in while I was dressing - didn't knock, nor were we notified someone was coming to clean or restock. It was super weird. Last, parking wasn't convenient (garage parking was at least 3-4 blocks from the unit) and we were asked to bring all our garbage down and place it by the street - no bin was provided that I could see and I wasn't comfortable littering/leaving trash in a bag on the side of the street for cats or other animals.
