Hill Haven Center Hill lake near Sligo Marina

"Hilltop Haven" was built in 2008 and is a premier lakehouse destination on Tennessee’s Center Hill Lake in Smithville. Located only fifteen minutes away from Sligo Marina, 75 minutes from downtown Nashville and an hour from the airport. At over 4,000 square feet, the spacious five bedroom, three full bath, two-story lakehouse is a quiet and secluded retreat located on a dead end cul-de-sac. Only two houses are on the street. It is the perfect destination for a family vacation, reunion or getaway with friends.

Recently decorated with comfortable, plush furniture, Hilltop Haven invites an afternoon on the deck with a 180-degree view of the lake or a lively day of jet skis and pontoon boat rides (available for rental at Sligo Marina). There is no better getaway for watching the famous autumnal Tennessee leaves change while relaxing in the hammock, sitting in the adirondack chairs around the firepit, or grilling out on the two story deck overlooking Center Hill Lake. Hilltop Haven has something for everyone. The surrounding view of trees and lake with the sounds of countless Tennessee birds can become the soundtrack to your most relaxing vacation yet. The front yard and surrounding area have seen kite-flying, frisbee games, and many short hikes for all levels of experience. There are two bikes available to explore.

At the heart of the house is a culinary foodies dream kitchen with brand new stainless appliances, including a Keurig and Vitamix. Seating for fourteen in the dining room and breakfast room. A large gas grill is located on the top deck, with sweeping views of Center Hill Lake, with seating for six at the table on the upper deck. The house sleeps eighteen including two bunk beds, a fold out sofa, located in the fifth bedroom/playroom and two Queen inflatable air mattresses. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located on the main floor and two bedrooms and one bathroom are on the first floor. Flatscreens and Apple TVs (use your own login for netflix, hulu and amazon) are in the living room, den, playroom and master bedroom. We do not have cable TV. SONOS sound system keeps music streaming throughout the home, and wireless internet keeps you connected in every room. Wood burning fireplaces (wood provided) are located in the living room and master bedroom. Oversized washer and dryer and an ice maker are in the laundry room. Beach towels and a cooler are provided for your day on the lake. Two extra fridges are in the garage to store your drinks and food.

Just a short drive away through some of Tennessee’s most beautiful countryside is the famed and award-winning Foglight restaurant located on the Caney Fork River. Dollar General Grocery Store is only ten minutes away on Highway 70. Center Hill Lake is calling your name. We hope to welcome you at Hilltop Haven soon! Great stay for Wakefest

We had several people who were competing in Wakefest, this place was great! Plenty of room and things for the kids to do like board games and such. Beautiful views as well! Would highly recommend!

AMAZING VACATION HOME

The house is a wonderful place to stay for family gatherings. It is inviting and cozy. The lake view is spectacular, and the property is mostly private and incredibly peaceful. My only negative comment was, in the description states that Center Hill Lake is a 1 minute walk. To me, that sounds like we could take a trail or a pathway to the lake but that is not the case. There is no lake access. Nevertheless, it is a great place to vacation! Marcy was very responsive and accommodating and everything went very smoothly.

Wonderful Stay!

We enjoyed our stay and Marcy was very accommodating and helpful when trying to decide logistics for our weekend! Very quite and secluded home with lake view and you can’t forget about the sweetest neighborhood watch dogs!

A Quiet Time At The Haven

Overall a great experience, great communication from the property Manager, she was flexible on check in/out times, which we appreciated. The home is large and welcoming. Property description is accurate. Home is in a VERY remote location, driving to property at night can be very intimidating if not use to TN driving, as we were visiting from FL. We had wi-fi speed issues when more than 3 people connected. Also, backyard is very steep with drop off, not noticeable from pics. Parents with straying young ones will definitely need to look over them closely. Thank you for letting us spend Thanksgiving in your home!

Perfect Center Hill getaway!

A+++ on absolutely everything. Location, cleanliness, view, easy to get to, accuracy of listing, everything was spot on. Our group has stayed at Center Hill yearly for quite some time and this property is by far the best one we’ve ever stayed at. Perfect for larger groups needing plenty of space. Also a perfect spot for groups bringing in boats because of the location and parking situation. The host was timely with responses to any of our needs and made it such a painless experience with check in and check out (even neighbors were friendly). Would definitely come and stay here again.

Enjoyed the Stay

House was nice and clean, plenty of space for 8 people, owner was nice and helpful. House was 30 minute drive from Smithville, a little more than we expected, but still okay. Bottom of stairs into lower level was a little tricky, just something to be aware of. There was an extra step that fooled a couple of people. Fire pit was nice, had marshmallow roast. Will likely stay again.

Great place for large group

We had 8 adults stay here for 2 nights to spend the days out on the lake. About 15/20 minutes to Sligo marina to launch. House was super clean and spacious, had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen one night and grill the other. Great view of the water from the large balcony. Internet worked great and had sound machines in every bedroom which was one of lots of little things the house had which made it a great stay! Would certainly stay here again.

Gorgeous remote sanctuary

This is an incredibly beautiful, comfortable, very private home. Marcie was a great host - communications were timely and thorough. Kitchen well stocked. Back yard firepit was our favorite gathering place during the cool fall nights. Neighbors dogs were sooooo sweet as were the human neighbors!

Great lake house

Great house, the kitchen and living room has all the supplies and accessories you could need. With plenty of bedrooms and living space, it's perfect for a larger group. The house doesn't have water access but there is a great view of Center Hill Lake off the back 2-story deck. The location is very private/somewhat remote but has beautiful nature and is close enough to a few marinas and gas station, etc. Would definitely rent this house again and recommend to others.

Sparta Lake House

Very nice accommodations and plenty of room for family. We were in town for a wedding. The only drawback was the long drive into Cookville for wedding events---But the distance was in no way a negative rating for the accommodations. Loved the nights and early mornings out on the deck(s). Made a new friend--EllieMae [you will too when you stay here :-) ].

Guys getaway weekend

The property is hands down one of the best I've stayed in after more than a decade of renting homes on VRBO. So much space. The beds were comfortable. Tons of items - cooler, glasses galore, pots and pans, extra fridge, ice maker, candles, etc. The vista is gorgeous. It is remote - took us a full 15 minutes to get back to the property from Highway 70 - which made going anywhere from the property a bit of a hike. But it is well worth it. We rented a pontoon from the Sligo marina nearby which was amazing, did a hike at the falls an hour away, hit Uncle Nearest distillery and got some hot Nashville chicken in Murph. My wife wants to come back with the adult children and do the vacation with the family! I do too.
