"Some of the doors are very squeaky which was a bit of a pain when trying to put young kids to bed but that’s only a minor thing. The lodge could do with a few minor refurbishments like the bathroom door was very old and chipped and some of the skirting boards in the bathroom were a bit tatty but we really couldn’t fault the holiday at all. The hot tub and the washer/drier were an excellent addition"

"Deer Leap is a fabulous lodge in a lovely setting and really quite private. Spotlessly clean and smelled lovely on entering. We loved the hot tub and the bathroom door leading directly to it outside. The twinkly lights over the covered seating area outside were so pretty at night. The huge bed was super-comfy, we slept very well. Could have done with some kind of clothes storage in the dressing room as there was only hanging space so we were living out of our bags on the floor. Also could have...

"The lodges are equipped with the basic essentials. Although we did tend to eat out on our days out or get takeaway from the local village. We did cook a BBQ at the lodge. Utensils for this was available and the purchase of the disposable bbq was available on site ."

"Great break with family for a Christmas getaway...Cheddar Woods is in a great location and high on the hill, like we were, the views were great - when it wasn't misty.Food was lovely in the restaurant although there was limited seating for large parties who weren't dining.Staff we encountered were all friendly."

"the home was very comfortable and clean As a smoker and having to stand in the street was a little embarrassing as it looked and felt odd. How you can have a barbi but not smoke in the garden is very odd and is the only reason I would not return."
