"Staff was friendly, the room was clean. The things I didn’t like, was the parking lot wasn’t plowed properly, it was chunked up with ice which made it hard to carry things back and fourth let alone walking out to the car was difficult. The water from the faucets had an aweful taste, they had a vending machine but it was empty. They offered a filtered water option at the front desk but that wasn’t working either. They did have wifi but the TVs weren’t setup to use it, they did have cable but if...

"An absolutely charming place. It is a very cozy house and the treatment is very familiar. The room we had really spacious and perfectly decorated, which highlights the large vintage collection of iron plates and other antiques. The owner very friendly and fun, with an excellent service of homemade breakfast. Maximum cleaning in the room. Comfortable bed. Excellent wifi. I do not think there's a better place in Caribou. Thank you so much for everything...!!!"

"The cabin is clean with all the amenities you could ever want! A short walk to the heated shower house cometw with flush toilets and laundry. Quiet, sky full of stars, close to food and plenty of places.to walk. Its our 3rd stay here and we hope to come again!"

"It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left...
