"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"

"Lovely accommodation in great location for exploring the New Forest. Breakfast was freshly prepared with a good selection of cooked food, although limited cold choices. Pub garden is large with various areas for sitting out. This was just as well as the Filly Inn does not have air conditioning which meant that our bedroom was far too hot to spend any time in. Shame as it was a lovely room with great shower room. The staff did provide us with a fan but it was not up to the job of cooling...

"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be...

"This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped."

"Never stay here in the summer! A lovely hotel with a great spa but sadly the staff were not interested. Our room (6) was boiling hot, far hotter than 2 other hotel rooms we have slept in over this May 26 heatwave. When we raised this at check in and explained that we would not be able to sleep in the room we were given a spare fan that simply moved the hot are around. "The room was large and well appointed. The bathroom could have done with better clean. Rogue hairs on floor but everywhere else good. Apart from mosquito that ate me alive nothing but good to say. Ate in restaurant. Food good but very slow service. 55 mins for simple order. Would recommend overall"
