Amazing Hotel. We used this hotel for a stopover night on the way back to the UK from Japan. You just need to fill in a small form at the border on the way to immigration for a 240hour/10 days free visa to get out of the airport. If you are doing this as a stopover tell them at checkin so they do not transit your bags! Artistically designed rooms in a great location.We had a large balcony with views overlooking Shanghai. Great service - even though they did not speak much english they use a translater app so communciation was excellent. They really helped us. Lots to see just by walking around and great views of the Bund buildings. We were just here overnight so had enough time to wander around and get some dumplings and noodles from a large array of small restaurants just outside the hotel. The area felt very safe as there are a few hotels about in the area. Good ameneties in the room - USB points so you don't need a plug!. Great breakfast with a wide choice of foods in a big dining room with great views. We just got a tax to get there from the airport - took about 45 mins - equivalent of £20-30 (dependant on amount of traffic - alot more in the morning!) Note - bring an address in chinese as taxi driver could not read the english address. Also the location in the UK version google maps is incorrect. Look for the correct street address.
Well worth a visit and Shanghai looks a great place to visit. We wish we actually had extended our stopover for a couple of days.
