Cabin getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Aunt bugs cabin! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfy too! Plenty of space for 4 adults, 1kid and 2 dogs. The downstairs game room was lots of fun! Loved the close location to main foads/Pigeon Forge! We will rent with them again.

Good but could use some simple TLC

The house is overall good. The location is great. But there are some simple things that could be done to make this property. Having holes in the wall can simply be spackled and painted. The doors don't close on most of the bedrooms and are in bad shape. Easy to replace. There's trash down in the valley below the back deck from people throwing it off. Can easily be picked up. Overall we had a nice stay, but for the price, I'd probably pick somewhere else.

Around the Bend Cabin

This is an older property. Estimating it was built in the 1980s. Some of it has been updated and the renovations are nice, but the the parts that have not been renovated are in need asap. Highlights include the basement/game room. Although the stairwell that originally led downstairs from the kitchen has been sealed off and turned into a messy storage room. So one must decend an outside staircase to access the game room and home theater. Newly renovated, the game room looks nice, but it was difficult to use the theater entertainment system. The hot tub was nice. Good size. Clean but again starting to show a little age. No safety wall if you have small kids out there on the elevated balcony. The living room has had some wood walls in the cabin style added, so it has the cozy cabin feel. And then there are the bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen. All very dated. Very dirty walls and doors. A couple of the doors do not close. Old like fixtures that do not match faucets. Master shower would only get luke warm water. Just looks like no thought or care into maintenance. So a few nice points, but the dated rooms and furniture made us feel like we were back in our poor college rental apartment. Appliances are old and a little beat up. Check in and check out was simple and worked fine. Property manager kindly gave us a two hour extension to check out since weather and roads were snowy and icy. Overall it was below average for the value/price we paid. We had a good time but we will look for a newer property next time.
