"Internet and cable issues as mentioned by several others. Maybe this is a SSI issue rather than a property specific issue since we stayed on SSI earlier in the year and had the same problem with another property (not associated with Lilmar). Very clean, nice neighborhood, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, and prompt communication with Lilmar (they did their best to resolve the issue). I think this will be our last visit to SSI - but don’t let this stop you if communication with the outside...

"A hidden jewel in the village/pier area of SSI. Cozy and comfy - well stocked - we could walk every where in the Village/East Beach area. SSI has 41 public beach access points and miles of bike paths. Charming and beautiful area. Shasta is the property manager extraordinaire - she checked in daily and was very knowledgeable. The owners still have some work to do by adding furniture pieces for two of the bedrooms (chests, tables, etc.) for longer visits. Both bathrooms were well-done. "We chose A Summer Hour Retreat for our 17th Anniversary trip to St Simons Island and we are so glad we did, this property is absolutely beautiful, well updated, well stocked, and truly within walking distance to everything. "It's a nice clean rental with modern appliances and it is well equipped. Convenient location. The only downside is that there really isn't anywhere convenient to park to unload luggage and stuff. The parking is way around to the side and you either have to bring everything through the yard (no path) or around to the front of the house. And since the "back door" is a sliding glass door you pretty much have to go all the way around to the front with all your stuff or go through a muddy back yard...
