"The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. "Our rooms looked nothing like the photo’s on here. The carpets had huge stains on them and the furniture was dated and beat up. Our window would not open and the frame was rotting. Our bathroom was dark and the shower would sporadically turn burning hot to freezing cold. The women’s toilets in the bar area had multiple out of order signs on the doors and the one I was able to use had a huge hole in the wall where tiles were missing and broken. "The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "

"Arrived to find the place locked up and had to make a phone call for someone to come to the pub to give us our room key. Apparently there was a problem of having no electricity due to the heat. No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable."
