"I had liver and onions for evening meal. It was over cooked as the liver was crumbling as I ate it. The bed was uncomfortable ..mattress was cheap and the bed wobbled every time you moved keeping my wife awake as I moved in the night. Sue, manager was brilliant , very attentive and polite."

"Pam and I were made very welcome and didn’t feel like outsiders at all. Brilliant decor and comfort. I would highly recommend Oliver’s Guesthouse Peter Finbarr-Smith"

Neither kitchen sink had a plug. No dishcloth or brush for washing dishes. Hotel provided tea bags, coffee, milk but no sugar. Body wash dispensers in shower were not refilled. "Very enjoyable stay, clean and spacious room. Lots of choices for breakfast. Handy for shopping near town centre. Definitely recommend this place."

"Clean rooms with staff always available. Would stay again"

"Room dated paper peeling off, wash basin poor at best. No breakfast, television reception terrible, The whole hotel could do with a good clean and decorating. Drinks not at the price's stated."

"The best place to stay in Scunthorpe. Offers easy access and is very clean."

"Never again. Obviously a dhss hostel. Wafer thin walls and doors slamming till 4am every night. Would nt check me in cos I had no photo I'd, and had to change the name on my booking to my work mates even though I'd paid in full. Wouldn't wish a stay here for my worst enemy"

"Good location, clean place."

"What a cracking pub. What more do you want from a place to stay than have a legendary boozer right below you. The land lady was very friendly and polite, rooms were basic but clean and perfect for my needs. They do a cracking pint downstairs too. Staying again next week for work it was that good and the prices resonable."
