"Fantastic host , highly recommend stay there , went above hospitality, my partner loves horses and when we arrived was taken too see them with no hesitation, room was lovely with a good nights sleep followed in the morning with a wonderful fresh made breakfast with home made bread "

"Booked myself and my black Labrador in for 3 nights. Spacious room, nice decor and very clean. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The full English breakfast was spot on with good quality items. (Thank you Ben). All the staff were engaging and very helpful. Great value for money! Would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again should I be down that way again."

"The owners Shaan and Sef are lovely and very welcoming and friendly. They are really happy to let you know of restaurants nearby. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was beautiful. The cooked breakfast was delicious."

"I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!"

"Helpful & courteous staff made a big impression. Excellent Supper even on is Sunday night-Grimsby Haddock superb! No music -relaxing and peaceful dining room . Outstanding breakfast -great choice & fresh cooked -lovely hostess made the experience one to repeat ! Car parking is plentiful and very convenient straight outside our room ( actually perfect if one had any mobility issues or required safe parking for valuable stock in a van )."

"Comfortable quiet stay part of a longer visit to relatives. Room was cosy and ensuite was good fully functioning with lovely shower. Bed was firm but comfortable ,facilities limited but to an acceptable pricepoint "

"The apartment was perfect for my purposes. Everything I could have asked for. The only problem was that I didn’t receive any instructions to pick up the keys from hotels. com. Luckily the owner was there when I arrived. They were very helpful. I would highly recommend this for others."

However, so sorry and disappointed to say; * we were surprised at £2.50 charge per washing machine load - we have never been charged extra for using a washing machine in a property before. "We paid, as you can see. We turned up around an hour after booking to check in. We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. Who told us she needed to get someone else to check us in. This other member of staff came around 15 minutes later, so we bought a drink each whilst we were waiting.
