Beautiful accommodation close to Old Quebec

Comfortable and up-to-date apartment, located a few minutes walk from Old Quebec.The neighborhood where you will stay is well known for its livelihood and cheerfulness. Rue Saint-Jean is a superb commercial street where there are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. If you want to live among the Quebec locals and learn their ways, you are in the best neighborhood: Faubourg St-Jean.

The living room of the apartment is right by the main entrance in which there is a large sofa where you can listen to Netflix or Youtube on the 50" smart TV as well as a rocking chair to relax. It is also a pulled-out sofa that transforms into a double bed. The bedroom has a "Queen" bed with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers to store your clothes and personal effects. The kitchen with a 4-seater table has all the basic necessities for cooking and eating, including oil, salt and pepper. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower.

You have access to everything on foot, whether to visit old Quebec or to eat in a good restaurant on St-Jean Street, all of which are located in a relatively close walking distance. You will also find a grocery store, boutiques and shops in the area. Parking is available overnight in the surrounding streets, free of charge and you have also paying parkings all around the area. However, as you will be staying in the Old city center, you won’t need a car, unless you want to visit other parts of the city.

For your information, Downtown Quebec is divided into three main sectors:
1. Basse-Ville (downtown). Meaning that f your rent is located in this area, you will be going up to town for all the duration of your stay.
2. The old fortifications which are located in UpTown. This is the neighborhood that all people go to visit. At first, the fortifications were to protect against the English invasion, now it is to keep tourists inside ;) This area is super beautiful, you will love it. On the other hand, it is mainly populated by tourists and visitors from other regions of the province and the country. This is where you can get a t-shirt with the logo “I LOVE QUÉBEC”.
3. The Faubourg St-Jean-Baptiste which is right next to the fortifications. This is my neighborhood and will be yours during your stay. Even if you don't choose my accommodation, I highly recommend this neighborhood. Here you will live with the locals. St-Jean street will take you directly to Old Quebec, surrounded by its fortifications, a short 10 minutes walk. You will find everything you need without even using your car. You can get around on foot since you will have all the attractions and amenities nearby.

L’appartement est dans un état correct. Il est assez bien situé. On a eu des petits problèmes électrique qui ont été réglé par le propriétaire.

The apartment was cosy and comfortable, and good location. Rue St Jean (a street with many restaurants, cafes, and shops) is two blocks away. A well stocked convenience store is literally steps away. Relative to the old city / downtown, the location is a bit too far (at least for us), to walk to; but is a quick Uber ride away.A few relatively minor con-factors about this accommodation - certain features to be aware of:- The apartment building is very old, and it does not have central a/c. There was a room a/c in the bedroom only. And possibly due to old wiring, a couple times during our stay, a circuit breaker for the a/c tripped up.- There is one flight of stairs leading up to the apartment entrance and there is no elevator. This stairs is very steep and somewhat narrow So, one needs to be extra careful when lugging large heavy suitcases up or down the stairs.- some of basic supplies (paper towels, laundry detergent), were not provided. But it was easy enough to obtain them at a convenience store nearby- communication with management is primarily by texting/messaging via VRBO app. They do not provide a contact phone #.- management can be somewhat flexible with earlier check-ins and later check-outs, if it is only about dropping or picking up the luggage. In terms of apartment usage, check-in / check-out schedule is strictly enforced.Due to ongoing street repairs, access for Uber is sometimes blocked. So can walk to Rue St Jean to catch Uber.

Parfait pour un petit séjour confortable!

Le logement est bien situé (avec stationnement de soir/nuit dans les rues permis). Quartier et bâtiment tranquilles. Très propre et commodités agréables. Cuisine bien équipée. La communication avec l'hôte était réactive. Nous reviendrons certainement à cet endroit lors d'un futur voyage.

Wonderful Apartment

We found the description and pictures to be very accurate and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for what we were looking for. The kitchen is spacious and clean. The living room was comfy. The bed was comfortable also. The walk to the heart of Old Quebec is about a 15 minute walk. There is a very steep and narrow stair case from the entry of the building to the apartment.

good location, could be cleaner

We loved Quebec city! The apartment is close to everything - Rue St. Jean, and 10 minutes from Ave Cartier with lots of interesting shops, bars and restaurants. Easy walking distance to all the attractions. Well equipped store right across the street. The roads in the neighborhood are being redone so Uber and taxis unable to stop in front (we walked to the next street up) The apartment is quiet, bed is comfy, shower is good. Plenty of dishes (except wine glasses), all the kitchen appliances we wanted (toaster, coffee maker, kettle, etc. As other reviewers have said, scary stairs leading to the apartment (can't do anything about that - the place is very old), carpet and floors not cleaned. We were comfortable enough, but this place could use a little tlc could easily be a 5 star rating. Property manager very responsive to my messages. Overall a comfortable stay.

Travaux municipaux majeurs en cours qui limitent l’accès (temporaire). Très bien situé par ailleurs mais appartement (et entrée du building) qui a besoin d’un peu d’amour! Un peu cher pour la valeur globale à notre avis. Propreté toutefois très adéquate et commodités de base présentes.

Great location - walked everywhere

An old property but very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We could walked everywhere in the old town and there were grocery stores nearby. Scary stairs to the first floor of the building.

Good value for the money

Nice apartment not too far for old town by walking, close to St-Jean street. Well stocked convenience store just at the street corner. Hard to park car free but to be expected in this area. Kitchen equipment ok. All seems clean except for the floors which looked like no vacuum was done nor mopped. Bed was confortable. Note that nothing to block sunlight except a white curtain but was fine with us. Nothing fancy but would still recommend it as it as good value for the money and the location allowing to visit by foot.

L'appartement est très bien placé. On peut tout faire à pied. Le week-end, le stationnement est gratuit. L'appartement est parfait. il est très propre et bien équipé.
