"Danesfield House is a delight. The staff were all super helpful and welcoming. Dinner on the Terrace was stunning on a warm spring evening. The grounds are wonderful and I'd recommend a wander around them. And the spa facilities included in the room price was a bonus - the sauna and steam room especially. "The bedrooms and halls probably needed to be refurbished 30 years ago. They certainly are long overdue a completely overhaul today. The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?"

"Cool room and great restaurants in hotel. Nice outdoor area. Gym is used for PT sessions at the busiest times so not ideal for hotel guests to use. The sockets in the room and some of the fixings in need of repair and tired. Bed too firm and the room was too dark overall"

"Spacious comfortable clean bedroom & en-suite bathroom. Very helpful landlady, accommodating us arriving early and giving us early access to our room. Delicious breakfast - berries, yogurt, muesli and cooked breakfast of your choice. Cooked fresh and just the way we like it. Only downside is that you need to park in the nearby car park (not cheap & designed to catch you out) or on the street."
