Cozy Home in Portsmouth Near Newport, Beaches

Our cozy 4-bedroom home makes a lovely family getaway to explore coastal Rhode Island from a centrally located home base. It is also perfect for a medium sized group who are on the island for a wedding, a family reunion, a girls or guys weekend or any other group who enjoy visiting Newport but prefer to stay a little bit away from the bustle. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large fenced backyard beautifully shaded by old growth trees. A large deck offers a peaceful refuge to take in the greenery. A front porch framed by potted ferns looks over perennial beds. There is water access just a short walk from the house where you will find a small rocky beach perfect for a dip or a paddle board launch. We are a short 15-minute drive to the beaches of Middletown and Newport, and 20 minutes to the excitement of Downtown Newport. Quirky Island Park, with its beach and dining establishments is right around the corner. The house is set up in a classic colonial style with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the second floor, and a living room, dining room, kitchen, den and half bath are on first floor. Laundry is in the basement. Part of the garage can be made available for limited storage of vacation items like bikes, beach accessories etc. We live here off season, so the house and kitchen have everything. you need from kitchenware to linens to surplus paper goods we've got you covered!
