The condo was fantastic and in a great location with access to everything. Aldea Thai is a very nice facility with a great pool with swim up bar. Cesar and Renzo were very helpful and very responsive. I would book with them again and highly recommend them.

Perfect Location: Access to Everything

This is the perfect location to be close to everything. Do you want to walk to beach? Easy, less than 2 minute walk! Want to travel to a Cenote? Easy, cheap taxi ride! Want to go to the 5th Avenue to shop or for a delicious meal? Easy, less than a 10 minute walk! I always felt safe as a solo female traveler! It’s the perfect location! Only downside is the patio is beautiful but unusable because of the mosquitoes. Once you open the door, you will invite in 1000 mosquitoes that will become your roommates.

Perfect getaway

Right from the check in our stay was fabulous. The unit was exactly as described with everything we needed for our visit. Lots of towels, washcloth and pillows. The kitchen had more that we needed, very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was brilliant. We had trouble figuring out the pool but a quick message to Renzo and someone was there within an hour to help us. The common areas were beautiful and clean. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The location was more than we could ask for; right on the beach, many restaurants within walking distance and just a 15 minute walk to Walmart and Mega grocery store. Thank you Cesar. We will be back

Nice private spot with kitchen and patio...garden like setting. Quiet resort with great lication and excellent pool.Little pool in our patio was never cleaned and too cold, we could not use it. Disappointed that there was no housekeeping during our 8 night stay, but great stay and very good responses from property manager. Oh yeah...wow this is one of the best lications in playa del carmen for beach, restaurants and everything you want

A Great Place at a Great Value!

My wife and I are normally ones to stay at all-inclusive resorts. However, this year, with more travel planned, we wanted to find a nice beach vacation but at lower expense.This property could not have fit the bill better. The studio itself is more than spacious enough for two and has an expansive patio to boot. Moreover, the location of the Aldea Thai complex to Mamita's beach and to the shops and restaurants of Playa del Carmen made it even better. Everything we wanted was within a short walking distance.The studio boasts its own cold pool and there is also a larger resort pool shared by all residents. Everything was clean, in good repair and comfortable. I believe I would stay here again and enjoy myself just as much.

This place is great for a couple or solo traveller. Steps to the beach and a minute to the main strip. Great outdoor space, private patio with pool. Communication with property manager was awesome. Staff were friendly. Will be back!

Excellent location and property

Overall excellent location and clean. Right next to the beach and the strip. The studio has all the amenities needed and the patio is lovely. The pool is more to dip your toes in, but the public pool on the property is all you really need, and that is excellent. The manager was very accessible and refunded us for the last two days we didn’t stay , which was very nice of him. Overall recommend.

Close to everything without being in the middle of too much of the action. Perfect way to get to all the fun without all the noise. Only concern is when it rains the shared space of the condo gets pretty wet.

Loved our stay.

Excellent location, close to restaurants, clubs, and beach. A few tropical bugs early on (but easily taken care of). Renzo was very attentive and amenities as described. Our room faced wooded property and was mostly quiet, but a property facing other street might be a little noisy for some. Overall, a lovely spacious property for two, and would definitely stay again.

Not fancy but functional

We have stayed at aldea thai before so we knew what to expect with the property. Its a quite great location and just average place nothing fancy here but functional. We never spend much time in our room so all i really need is a place to sleep comfortably and shower with a close location to the beach. The property fits our needs. While this room met our needs clean, location,price the one thing that it falls short in was comfort. The bed is beyond hard actually felt like sleeping on concrete. It really put a damper on our stay. My husband and i were beyond exhausted every day from lack of sleep and body pain from the mattress. I reached out to ceaser to express my displeasure about the bed. While he did offer to order a mattress pad for the bed he said it would take 3 days to arrive but never did. He said the bed is like that for durability. My adult son was staying in another room managed by someone else and their bed had a wonderful mattress pad on it. I feel like to provide your guests with basic needs this needs to be addressed. If somebody would prefer a harder mattress then the topper can come off. I considered checking out and taking a loss but stuck it out. In hindsight i really should of just took the loss because the thought of going to bed at night just ruined our days knowing we had to sleep there. The room is in need of some basic upkeep such as new curtians which were stained toilet area needs some attention. Ceaser was responsive but just didn't follow thro

Great location!!!

Amazing location just steps from one of the most beautiful beaches. Super close and a safe walk to 5th Ave. Pristinely clean property, despite some renovations going on. Great communication with Cesar and our concierge. After the check in we communicated directly with them as front desk was for mostly checkin. Needs were met quickly! We loved the patio, our favourite spot in the mornings. Great value!

Lots of Gnats, dirty

Upon entering the property, we noticed it was eerily quiet. Not sure if people just don’t normal rent here. Stayed fairly quiet our entire stay. The pools that run through the property were empty all three nights stayed. Not sure if they were in the process of getting cleaned. Once we entered the room, immediately we noticed gnats in the kitchen and in the restroom. I immediately contacted the host and he stated that no one has ever complained. I find that highly unlikely because it was a huge infestation. These were not mosquitos, they were gnats, the small ones that are normally found around old bananas or in plants. They are harmless but gross so I refused the pest control the host offered as we didn’t plan to be in the room and didn’t want anyone coming into the room while we were out. The floors were dirty. The outdoor pool was a nice touch but the tiles were broken off and left on the deck. Between the gnats and dirty floors, I was grossed out and was so close to taking a complete loss but didn’t.

Birthday Trip

Nicely furnished apartment in a great location and very Zen complex. Cesar and Renzo were very helpful and accommodating with transportation arrangements and early checkin/late checkout to match our flight schedule. We had no issues with noise from the beach clubs nearby and loved walking everywhere to shops and restaurants. The unit was easily made completely dark and quiet for sleeping in late and afternoon naps before hitting the town again at night.. The only drawback was that the pump wasn't working on the private pool on the patio and the patio isn't very private (so don't get any ideas about romance out there!). Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

The air conditioner was broke when we got there but they did fix it however it took quite some time for our room to cool down cause it was so hot outside. By day 3 it was the perfect temperature. The mosquitos were really bad at night so we didn’t sit outside very much. The location is perfect and the communication with the property manager was amazing. Over all we would stay again!

We had an almost perfect stay

Aldea Thai is a beautiful complex with an amazing pool. We had a lovely room on the ground floor with a lovely patio lush with greenery. Enzo our representative was excellent and took very good care of us. Our stay was almost perfect. Our two main complaints are - being on the ground floor with a small, cold pool on our patio invited mosquitos and lots of other bugs. Sitting outside in the evening was impossible. Also, on weekends, hundreds of youngsters descend on the hotel and make such a racket, the noise makes it impossible to sit outdoors. I would recommend staying at Adlea but bring bug spray and ear plugs.

Great place, great room! Overall we were very pleased and will come back!

The room was very nice and clean! This facility is a mixture of families and those that are there to party so there could be some noise but the staff advises that they do ask the louder guests to quiet down in the evening. We had no issues with noise, this room is fairly secluded, it is near the back entrance of a beach club so around 5 or 6pm it was entertaining with people leaving the club. If you want total peace & quiet you probably shouldn't go to Playa... I would say the area of our room was in a quieter area but we also didn't have partying neighbors during our stay. There was maintenance to the building which you have to keep in mind, in order to maintain a beautiful facility maintenance is likely needed year round, we appreciated the upkeep. I read other reviews of complaints about the bugs, yes there are bugs (it is a tropical area), don't leave the screen door open & if you turn on the outside lights at night the bugs are drawn to the lights so they don't bother you (there wasn't that many bugs & not mosquitoes). It's a very short walk to the beach, keep in mind this is Not an all inclusive resort, the Alea Thai does not have its' own beach front or provide beach chairs. We spent most our time at the pool (which was awesome) and utilized the Kool beach club when we went to the beach. Overall we had a great stay at the Aldea Thai and a great vacation! Both Cesar & Renzo were great throughout the entire process, we will happily look forward to renting rooms from them in the future! Thank you Both!! ......also the Aldea staff was courteous, friendly & great too!
