"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you...

"We have stayed at the Wilson Arms a number of times and everything is just perfect. Lovely and helpful staff. Always smiling and happy. The rooms are always comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The bar area is very nicely decorated and the range of drinks should suit everyones taste, it does ours. The menu is quite large and definitely value for money. Cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast is always worth waiting for. You won't get better. Already planning our next booking."

"Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was very clean..bathroom too. Enough drawers and storage space. The food was amazing. Breakfast was lovely..good quality and great portions. Restaurant/ bar food brilliant. Food good quality..cooked and presented really well. Staff very accommodating and friendly."

"The room was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed, bathroom was also spotless and again had everything needed The staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed from arrival. The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one"

"The property itself was perfect. A lovely little cabin with all needed for a quiet stay. The main issue for us on an admittedly short stay, were the distance from Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. There were no grocery shops within a walkable distance or short drive. "

"The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time."
