"Very welcoming host, the room had an amazing veiw. Very clean, good variety of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate. The bottle of water in the fridge was a godsend when I got back after a long day. Breakfast was very tasty, full english with a glass of fruit juice and a pot of tea( or coffee). It was so helpful being able to drop my bag off before check in... Which when I arrived I was able to check in early. Also I could leave my bag there when I checked out, meaning I didn't have to lug it around...

"Great position, we managed to park outside near the Travelodge before walking to the hotel. Very friendly welcome. We booked the small room which was very nice, queen size bed, safe in the room, free bottled water, kettle and lavazza coffee machine. Great shower, heated up very quickly, quality shower gel, shampoo conditioner and hand lotion. Free hot drinks in the lounge via machine. Free cookies after 4pm! After our meal out, we came back for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Free films...

"Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!"

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

"To tall for the shower I am only 6ft.room was on the small side.miss leading on meals as they was no where at the hotel for meals as the pictures on the advertisement showed .you have to go off site for breakfast.Does not mention this on the advertisement.as I’m disabled it was very difficult to open the door into the room as it was catching on the floor.there was no wardrobe to hang any clothes."

"Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again. "

"Shocking hotel! The room was filthy and in a really bad state of repair. We refused to stay in the first room they gave us which was in the roof space. I don't understand how hotels are allowed to operate like this. If it was a restaurant they would be shut down by the foog hygiene agency. It ruined our weekend. I will be emailing the hotel directly with photos of the room. Would the owners stay in these rooms? I think not. Even the grand staircases are filthy."
