The flat itself is lovely - it's very nicely decorated and with a beautiful view right across Mount's Bay. It is well appointed with a large bathroom and a kitchenette that contains everything you would need. The bed is comfortable. Communication with Ali was excellent: she was very responsive and helpful. I'm giving this only 3 stars, however, because we had a serious issue with access. I did check out access to the flat before booking and Ali was upfront about the garden steps: my partner, who is disabled, did manage these without too many problems. However, the driveway is unfortunately very challenging if, like ourselves, you're in an older manual car. I think, for younger and more intrepid drivers in small automatics, it should be fine, but reversing up a steep slope and then driving forwards around a steep bend nearly did my clutch in (I am having it checked today). If my partner had not been disabled, we would have parked in the town and walked up, but he cannot walk more than a few yards. The parking space is also on a slope so make sure you've got a good handbrake. It was too much for me and we left after one night. In short, a lovely studio flat, but not, as it turned out, a good choice for us. There is nothing that can be done about this - it's in a very steep part of Newlyn. We have stayed in the town before, but if you are planning to do so, I recommend checking out the parking options thoroughly beforehand.
