"This flat is simply the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh. It's super clean and quiet (though the upstairs neighbor can be loud, bring earplugs), has all the amenities you need, the wee garden is beautiful (such a restful oasis in the midst of a bustling city!), and it's extremely conveniently located close to all the major sights, bus tours, shopping, parks... The only thing we'd suggest is that they provide an extra set of sheets and a duvet so you can use the pull out couch. There...

"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "Lovely newly equipped n furnished but no instructions to work any appliances. Could not get subtitles on tv. Wanted the heating on to take chill off but no instructions. No instructions for coffee machines. No coasters to put hot drinks on. Small table needed to put drinks etc on when watching tv. Nowhere to put wet towels."

"It's easy to forget what peace and tranquillity is living near a large city but after a full day here you really begin to feel unwound. The property was very clean, escpecially the kitchen and bedding. The hosts just left us to it which we also appreciated. I would echo what a few other guests have mentioned about the 0.5 mile track to the property however. I would recommend a vehicle with at least "normal" ground clearance. A family hatchback / saloon can make it without grounding if driven...
