"The hotel is a beautiful property but our room was not cleaned properly - crumbs were left by previous guests and were still there when we left after 2 nights (with maid services during our stay!). The temperature control for the shower also did not work well. The gym was small but clean. Breakfast buffer was a bit disappointing in terms of variety and quality."

"The hotel and location was first class, but what was a bit of a turnoff was pimps/prostitutes operating inside the lobby in the evening (around 23.00). Got indecent proposals from two different women in the short time it took to walk from the main entrance to the lifts. Which makes you wonder about overall security at the hotel. Otherwise no complaints."

"Excellent location for the Bund, for the tourist with only a couple of days this places you in the center of it all. The property provides the essentials for a comfortable stay and security, good breakfast. The lobby bar is not really a bar that I prefer for a proper cocktail or beer/wine. I found for my couples day in the area, I wanted to get off the street and crowds for a drink and seat back and relax but generally I didn't find that in the area. "

"My room was nice but HOT! I called and asked them to fix the air conditioning. It took three calls before someone came. After they looked at it, they said give it time and it will get cooler. It never did. I called customer service no less than seven times before I could get someone to respond. They said they would bring me a fan. Somehow they forgot. After 30 minutes I called again. I asked to speak with the manager who after a while apologized and 15 minutes later brought a fan to the room....
